Q: How Hard is eFoiling? / Do I need experience? / Who is eFoiling for?
Since we use the most stable boards for lessons, I can confidently say eFoiling is easier than most other board sports like surfing. Most riders are standing in minutes, and foiling soon thereafter. Having balance and good mobility is the most important skill, but even then, riders can stay on their knees and cruise around without standing. We use a 'progression-based' coaching style that breaks the process into small, manageable wins.
No experience required or expected! In fact, sometimes "no experience" is better because you don't have to unlearn old habits. We’ve taught everyone from 12-year-olds to grandparents.
eFoiling is for just about anyone. From water sports enthusiasts, to aspiring wing- or kite-foilers looking to practice 'foiling' by itself, to families or friends just looking for a fun activity - it is widely accessible, and we will curate the lesson to you.
Q: Is it safe?
Yes, but be responsible. We are proud to have a perfect safety record with no serious incidents or injuries throughout our five years of operation. We give detailed safety information, provide lifejackets and helmets, and have a chase boat for insurance. We operate in protected waters away from marine life and boat channels. People have asked about the propellers, but they are covered in shrouds to prevent contact and worry.
At the same time, be smart. Keep the lifejacket on, listen to instructions, and don't show up intoxicated (which has happened!). Safety is our top priority, and we reserve the right to turn away irresponsible riders. If you have any concerns or questions for us during the lesson, let us know.
Q: What if the weather is bad?
eFoiling is weather-dependent. If the wind is too high or there's lightning, we will reschedule you at no cost or provide a full refund. We're usually willing to tough through mediocre conditions, such as minor rain or wind. Wind is certainly more of a factor at Provincetown since the waves get bigger.
Q: Barnstable vs. Provincetown vs. Travel Lesson?
Both locations offer a unique, five-star lesson experience. Generally, people decide based on their proximity. Since it was the original location, Barnstable tends to be busier throughout the summer, so if you're looking for an excuse to travel to Ptown this summer, let this be your sign! We offer larger events onsite at Ptown, such as a 2-hour event for up to 6 people, or a 3-hour event for more - perfect for larger groups, parties, and outings. If you have a waterfront property or access, we can come to you for a travel lesson!
Q: Can I buy a board from you?
Absolutely. As registered affiliates and resellers of both premier eFoil brands, Lift and Fliteboard, we will help you find the best board at the best price. We try not to be salespeople, and want the buying experience to feel exciting, not stressful or pressured. We're here to help you, so contact us or check out our used boards page! We sell our used boards, and can help you get discounts on new ones.
Check out our BUYER BUNDLE deal as well. For $750, get a special lesson for 1-2 people where you'll try multiple eFoils to find the best fit, and then get a $700 discount on a board, effectively making the lesson $50.

Q: Can you bring the boards to my house?
Yup, this is a core part of our operation! See the Travel Lessons page or contact us.
Q: Minimum Age?
Minimum age is 12. Maximum is yet to be discovered (we've coached up to 81 successfully)! Occasionally, we have had a younger kid ride with a parent or instructor on the most stable board successfully - contact us if a young kiddo wants to tag along, they are still welcome to in our boat.
