This board was purchased just last summer (2025) as a lesson board. As the largest size, it is fantastic for new riders and for sharing with friends and family. Even little kids can join a parent on the nose!
Specs
This is the 5’9” Lift 4, fitted with a 28” mast and large wings. It is built for the most stable and forgiving ride, perfect for long peaceful cruises where you can put your guard down and connect with the experience without the fear of falling.
Use
As one of the newest boards, it was used for lessons throughout last July and August. It is functionally excellent, lightly used, and in great shape cosmetically too.
Value
The new Lift 5 does not have a 5’9” size, so there is no way to get a functionally equivalent board anymore from Lift. The closest thing would be the Carbon ICON Fliteboard, which sell thousands above this one. You would be hard pressed to find another 5’9” Explorer board, professionally-maintained, at this price.
Who is this for?
Anybody! Someone looking for a serene ride without the fear of falling, and/or someone who wants to share this board with their family or friends. It’s super easy to pickup and is my go-to for lessons.

I bought this board used from a former client of mine who kept it in fantastic functional condition. Admittedly, the cosmetics aren't the most appealing given paint scratches and chips, but it rides perfectly - thanks to newly replaced components and parts, which include a new mast, Gen 4 Full Range Battery, and replaced eBox. In other words, while the BOARD is many years old, all of its parts are newer. It's an incredible value for a fully functional eFoil, albeit an older board.
It offers an incredibly smooth ride. As a 4’9”, it is the most popular size for experienced eFoilers who want a sporty ride, but is still sharable with friends or newcomers. This board comes with the Blowfish accessory (+ $500) which is essentially an inflatable raft that surrounds the board and makes it far more buoyant and easy to ride without sacrificing maneuverability.
Specs
It is a Lift 3 model with white paint, 28" or 32" mast, and choosable wings. This setup offers the smoothest ride, with agile wings to make use of the board’s smaller size while still offering stability and an incredibly surfy feeling.
Use
In terms of use, this board was owned and excellently maintained by a client of ours, who sold it back to us because he wanted a Fliteboard since his friend had one (so they could share batteries). This client rode the board for two summers. The fact that we bought it back is a vote of confidence, because we saw how it had zero functional issues. All of its components (battery, eBox, mast, controller) have been replaced with newer versions.
