This board was purchased just last summer (2025) as a lesson board. As the largest size, it is fantastic for new riders and for sharing with friends and family. Even little kids can join a parent on the nose!
Specs
This is the 5’9” Lift 4, fitted with a 28” mast and large wings. It is built for the most stable and forgiving ride, perfect for long peaceful cruises where you can put your guard down and connect with the experience without the fear of falling.
Use
As one of the newest boards, it was used for lessons throughout last July and August. It is functionally excellent, lightly used, and in great shape cosmetically too.
Value
The new Lift 5 does not have a 5’9” size, so there is no way to get a functionally equivalent board anymore from Lift. The closest thing would be the Carbon ICON Fliteboard, which sell thousands above this one. You would be hard pressed to find another 5’9” Explorer board, professionally-maintained, at this price.
Who is this for?
Anybody! Someone looking for a serene ride without the fear of falling, and/or someone who wants to share this board with their family or friends. It’s super easy to pickup and is my go-to for lessons.

I bought this board used from a former client of mine. It is the cheapest option since the eBox can easily cut-out when water pools on the board. When foiling, however, it rides like new with no issue. Therefore, I wouldn't reccomend this as a shared board for newcomers, but rather for someone comfortable foiling.
The parts on this board make it a deal even if the board is spotty. New Gen 4 Full Range Battery ($4000 Value), new carbon mast and wings ($3500 Value), Elite Controller ($900 Value). Boom - the board pays for itself before even including the charger, board itself, or eBox.
